December’s Cake Pops

Reindeer and Christmas Tree Cake Pops

How. Cute. Are these? These were by far my favorite cake pops that I’ve ever made. And they were super easy.

I’ve been experimenting with cake pops ever since I stumbled upon them at Bakerella. A full tutorial for these can be found here, but I highly suggest you browse around her site, you can’t go wrong with anything on there!

The only small problems I had were with the reindeer. I thought I could go my own way and get mini M&Ms instead of the suggested regular size, and the reindeer turned out silly.

I also just plain forgot to make the eyes out of confetti dots. Woops. Notice in the corner there’s one wide eyed M&M deer? I didn’t wanna keep making them all look like Santa was about to run them over…

Bakerella likes to use edible ink pens, so I finally splurged and got some, but decided to go with fine tip because I thought I would like the control better. Bad decision. It’s so “fine” that it just cut into my chocolate. I would definitely suggest a medium to fat tip.

Other than that these were so much fun to make, and really pretty effortless. Happy Holiday Baking!
