This blog documents the life and times of a hardworking grad student from the South emerging into the exciting world of public relations in New York City. Prepare for the funny, the serious, the controversial, the light-hearted, the questions and the inevitable slices of humble pie.
Prior to becoming interested in all things public relations, Stephanie was a devoted reporter and editor for the official undergraduate newspaper of Seton Hall, The Setonian. After a week-long service trip to El Salvador, Stephanie realized that while the world of news was riveting, she wanted to invest her life in something that helped people more directly. She found her niche in the public relations department at Seton Hall the following semester.
Stephanie quickly became immersed in the world of nonprofit public relations. She worked as the Public Relations and Media Intern with Busted Halo in New York City, assisted with pro bono campaign execution with the McGraw Group, and pitched for and won a full campaign for the Department of Communication and The Arts at Seton Hall.
Now she’s putting all that hard work into her studies at New York University’s Masters of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communications program.
